Since 1980, America’s Gross Domestic Product has risen from roughly $3.5 trillion to roughly $15 trillion<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 On the other hand, Americans pay less in taxes than they have since the 1950s<\/a>.<\/p>\n But according to Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clark,\u00c2\u00a0we need to arm ourselves, since we can’t afford sufficient law enforcement to respond to 911 calls.<\/p>\n Our national wealth has increased five-fold, but now we can’t afford cops?<\/p>\n Of course we can. One reason we don’t\u00c2\u00a0 is as most Americans’ wealth declines, they are reluctant to provide the necessary revenue (i.e., taxes). And those who have taken the lion’s share of\u00c2\u00a0 our increased national wealth largely feel they shouldn’t have to\u00c2\u00a0 accept a higher tax burden<\/a>.<\/p>\n So, buy a gun, I guess.
